Leek Town Manager Neil Baker has acted swiftly to boost his squad ahead of the new Evo-Stik Division 1 West season.
The Blues boss has signed three players this week following successful trial appearances.
19-year-old midfielder Charlie Walford has been snapped up following his release from Port Vale at the end of last season. He appeared as a trialist for Leek against 1874 Northwich and managed to get on the scoresheet in spectacular fashion.
Baker has also secured the services of striker Zeph Thomas. The 28-year-old has previously played for Sheffield, Frickley, and Mickleover Sports. He has also played international football for St. Kitts & Nevis.
Former Stockport County and Winsford United midfielder Harry Brazel has also been offered terms after showing good form in the pre-season friendlies.
One player on his way out of Harrison Park is former Crewe Alexandra player Lewis Short who was signed last month. Short has opted to start the season with National League side Chorley. He moves on without appearing for Leek in a competitive game.
You can hear how all of Leek Town’s new recruits are settling in this Saturday 11th August when Moorlands Radio Sport bring you full match commentary on the club’s final pre-season friendly against Nantwich Town.
